Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Bayview P.S.! A warm and welcoming place to be. We are a Kindergarten to Grade 4 French Immersion site, with a population of 432 students.
Bayview staff, students and parents create an inclusive, safe and caring environment where students can reach their full potential in a French language setting. Students are encouraged to take risks and persevere in order to build on their knowledge and continue to challenge themselves. Bayview students are also encouraged to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens and active participants in the community. Kindness and a strong character education is at the heart of all that Bayview strives to be recognized for.
At Bayview, students practice their “ W.I.T.S.”, an anti-bullying program that empowers students to make good choices when faced with situations that are uncomfortable for them. The students are encouraged to walk away, ignore, talk it out and/or seek help. This is part of our school culture and ties in perfectly with our Community of Character. The WITS program is a community-based approach to preventing peer victimization and is supported by our school resource office.
Bayview parents show a great deal of support and get involved in a variety of activities at the school. The Bayview School Council plays a great role in enhancing the school community by working with staff in organizing and sponsoring school events through their fundraising activities. Please refer to our website calendar to keep up to date on all exciting activities planned to enrich your child(ren)’s learning experience at Bayview.
Again, welcome and let the learning begin!
